Friday, March 16, 2018, during school, we had a blood drive during 6th hour.  This event was located in B-house cafeteria. Many students from ages 16 and up and adults gave their blood to people to save their lives.

Many students said that their main reason to give blood was to help/save people. We ask people about why they wanted to give away the blood and Mariah Jamerson, a 12th grader said,  “I have a rare blood type and anybody with any blood type can take it. I can help save lives.”

This blood drive was a way for people to help others. We even had teachers and other staff giving blood to help out the people that needed it. Izeah Dyson (11th grade) said,  “I want to save lives in my life.” Landon Clark (12th grade) said, “ I know people need my blood and I like the thought of saving people.” This is what Southfield A&T is all about!
